"Goldilocks And The Three Bears" was our story theme for today. We had the most fun singing "Goldilocks Came Knocking"! We also wrote a letter to Goldilocks. This is what the children had to say:
Dear Goldilocks,
Stop sitting in the chairs. Stop eating the baby's porridge and stop laying in the beds. You might break them. You shouldn't go in any one's house without them inviting you. You shouldn't have gone into the Bear's house. Next time, go on a walk with your mom and dad.
Sincerely,
Allyson, Halei, Syan, & Andrew
Halei said that Goldilocks does not have parents, hence the roaming around the forest. Allyson thought that maybe Goldilocks had animal parents. I heard some cute and creative comments today.
We had a yummy math lesson today. We used Teddy Grahams to help us practice counting, adding, and subtracting. Our art project did not go as planned. The objective was to wrap glue covered yarn around our bowls. It was a tough task so we managed to find a way to be creative and to practice fine motor skills. The children used a hole puncher and toothpicks to make holes in the bowls so that they could weave the yarn in and out and around the bowls. They seemed to have fun.
Next week, we'll be going on a bear hunt. Wear your hunting clothes and bring your safari gear.

"Mama, that was a lot of fun." Those were Andrew's words as we pulled out of your driveway today! THANK YOU for working with him (and being patient with him). I can tell he has come a long way.
I am so glad that Andrew had fun. We all had a super day. Andrew had his best day yet!
Bennett and I want to go on a bear safari! Too bad I have Bible study that day.
I think it is wonderful that you do this for your kids and their parents. I hope they enjoy reading the posts as much as I do.
